Day Nine: After Sun Spray

“Sunburn is very becoming, but only when it is even - one must be careful not to look like a mixed grill” - Noel Coward

Sun burn is not the most pleasant thing in the world. Therefore, I am thrilled to own something like after sun spray, it cools me down so much and helps prevent me from becoming a bubbling, melted pool of flesh on the floor. I still feel cheated at the fact that I did get burnt; I put so much sun screen on. I inherited my mother sensitive skin so I pretty much have to be fully cover to avoid being burnt

Day Eight: Airheads

An inflated thing that is dragged behind a boat with a person on top of it. The objective being not to fall off. I've been up at the river with friends and I've discovered that the airhead is the omst spiffy thing since sliced bread.

Day Seven: Chiropractors

I just went to my chiropractor after not seeing them for a few months and I forgot that my back could feel this good.

Day Six: Sleeping

Sleep that knits up the ravelled sleave of care
The death of each day's life, sore labour's bath
Balm of hurt minds, great nature's second course,
Chief nourisher in life's feast.
~William Shakespeare, Macbeth

I love sleeping, thats all there is to it. Always have, always will. I love being in that half asleep state where you can just dream but you can control your dreaming much easier; its my favourite part of the day.

(I did two posts today because the mother one was for yesterday)

Day Five: My Mum

A mother is a person who seeing there are only four pieces of pie for five people, promptly announces she never did care for pie. ~Tenneva Jordan

My mum is awesome. I woke up today really late (around lunch time) to the sound of my mother yelling at me to get up. I begrudgingly got out of bed and walked to the kitchen only to discover that while I slept, my mother had gone to the shops and gotten me my favourite food for lunch - tacos! My mum's the best.

Day Four: Air conditioning

God has been replaced, as he has all over the West, with respectability and air conditioning. - Imanu Amiri

Today I am thankful for air conditioning because I stupidly went out today; it was 41 degrees celcius and I was cooking. I had gone to the art gallery with friends and then for a bite to eat and I was practically weeping every time we had to leave the comfort of an air conditioned building and go into the outdoors. I am slowly beginning to despise summer, another day like that will see me petitioning for its removal.

Day Three: Shopping

I love to go shopping. I love to freak out salespeople. They ask me if they can help me, and I say, "Have you got anything I'd like?" Then they ask me what size I need, and I say, "Extra medium." - Steven Wright

shopping is down right awesome. yes I'm a girl, so I am a little biased (yay for stereotyping!) but I went shopping today, Actual shopping. Not just window shopping or looking wistfully at things I cant afford, I bought things! I bought a dress and a pair of converse (my mother paid for the shoes). I enjoy having money to shop with. It won't last very long.

Its the best feeling ever to go home after a long day of shopping and empty the entire contents of your shopping bags onto your bed and then slowly go through and try everything on. Shopping is good.
